Hello, much appreciated former and current customers, employees, vendors, friends, and family,
It is time to close McCartney’s University Spirit. Not from lack of love for this business nor lack of sales. I have loved running this McCartney family business for over 30 years. I AM READY TO RETIRE! The personal joy and satisfaction for these years have been immense. Our employees, customers, and vendors have always been wonderful, patient, and especially caring when our over 3,200 square foot store was gutted due to our business neighbor’s fire on August 12, 2016.
Many of you know that this is a second-generation business. In 1948, my father, Bill McCartney, began our 75 years of being in the Greek and collegiate business while he studied at SMU after returning from World War II. Then in 1971 he began manufacturing collegiate and Greek jewelry. We sold those products throughout the nation to universities and retail stores for almost 50 years. The Southern Methodist University community has been one our largest supporters for our 75 years and will remain important to my family and me in retirement as over 30 of our family members have attended SMU.
On a personal note, I want to say thank you. Thank you to the SMU community, to the Park Cities community, to my much beloved employees over the last 30 years, to my friends, to family, and to those of you who have become like family. I will miss seeing all of you daily, but I am excited to see where the next chapter of life takes me.

Retirement Sale Details

We will be having HUGE markdowns AND still taking new orders via our website and in person for approximately 4 to 5 weeks. We will remain fully staffed to help you.
We will also make announcements as our in-stock products go on sale in store and online beginning Monday, March 20th, so make sure you are following us on Instagram and Facebook! Custom orders will not be discounted. If you place an order online and we run out of the size or style, we will refund you to make orders easier. You will receive a notification of your refund if that happens.

In-Store Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Come in and visit us during store hours. We will be happy to assist you with any and all of your shopping needs!

If you would still like to participate in our "Retail To Go", you can place orders online to pickup at the store or you can give us a call to place an order.
If you place an order with us online, you will be given a call when your order is ready.

Online Shopping
We are working hard to keep our website up to date with the latest stock that we have available in store. We ship via USPS. On custom orders, please allow some time for production.

Phone Orders
If you would like some extra customer service in your shopping experience with us, please give us a call at 214-521-8410 and one of our employees will help you. 
You can pick up phone orders in store or with "Retail to Go", or we can ship your order.
